Don Henley, writer and Eagles member once called it "our interpretation of the high life in Los Angeles" and later reiterated "it's basically a song about the dark underbelly of the American dream and about excess in America". Macarone covers Sublime!
Macarone takes another classic song and turns it Hip-Hop. If you aren't a Sublime fan and you come to this website regularly then my question to you is: WHY NOT?
Sublime is the shit and this song April 29th 1992 (Miami), is the perfect song for Mac to cover. Based on the LA Riots, Mac does his version and even adds a bonus verse that's all Macarone & DOP at the end!

Back in the day DOP Inc used to record music in the kitchen at Mac's house. So on alot of old DOP Inc music you will hear about the Kitchen, which was a studio more than a kitchen! Well eventually we got our own studio and moved out the kitchen. The new studio was called Tha Head Shoppe.... And yes, that is where the name of the NuttHouse album, Tha Head Shoppe came from...
