Biography
Mac is what happens when "GANGSTA" rappers wake up and use their skills to build versus tear down!  Macarone is the founder of DOP Inc Records, an underground independent label out of Santa Ana/Anaheim CA. We describe our music as “SPONTANEOUS STREET INSPIRED POETRY” or “GANGSTA POLITICAL LOVE & LIFE MUSIC”.  To quote Macarone, “I want my music to compete with what you hear on the radio or in someone’s trunk, but with a real message in between snares”.

Macarone is more than a rapper; Mac is a Rap Activist and he is also a father of two.  “It’s important that I make music that I would want my boys to be able to be able listen to.  Not all watered down, but real like I got growing up”.  He began his music career as one of the founding members of the groups NuttHouse and another called County2County. NuttHouse was Macarone’s first group. Based out of Santa Ana and Anaheim CA NuttHouse started back in the late 90’s, with their first underground CD, “Some Shit from the Garage”. County2County was a group compiled of many rappers and singers from Orange & Los Angeles Counties.  Over the years Mac’s music has evolved to a more political nature.  “My music is aggressive and progressive, however I also consider myself a buffer and translator between Politics and the Streets.”

Inspired by artists from several different genres of music including Tupac & NWA all the way to Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill & Sublime. From Public Enemy & Immortal Technique all the way to Jimi Hendrix & Janis Joplin, Macarone is moved by them all and it shows in his music.

DOP Inc Records prides itself on being the VOICES of the Po, Broke & Lonely! Our music is REAL, we promise you that! With that said, no one can be GANGSTA POLITICAL 24/7 so you can party with us too!
